Maizuru Port, Kyoto is located in the center of Honshu on the Sea of Japan side, in the back of Maizuru Bay, where Wakasa Bay on the Rias coast is deeply inserted. In 2011, it was selected as the only port on the Sea of Japan side in the Kinki region, and many large cruise ships call at the second wharf.
