This is a must-see spot in Maizuru, the town of the former Navy, where a powerful full-scale destroyer moored. The state-of-the-art escort vessels are anchored at the Self-Defense Forces pier along Route 27, and you can witness the power. At the Navy Memorial, more than 200 items such as souvenirs and materials related to the former Navy are on display. You can also visit the Togo Residence, which has been used as the residence of successive Secretaries since Heihachiro Togo, the first commander of the Maizuru Guardian Office.
