Komachi Shrine
In Imayasu, Fukuchiyama City, there is a legend that Ono no Komachi, a female poet of the Heian period and said to be a beautiful woman, visited when she suffered from smallpox and cured her illness. On April 18th, when Komachi expressed his gratitude, the "Komachi Festival" is held every year. In spring, about 30 Yoshino cherry trees planted on the approach to the shrine entertain the viewer.
