Sai no Kami wisteria is an old wisteria tree that is said to have an estimated tree age of 1200 years and was designated as a Kyoto natural monument in 1983. The light purple flowers are in full bloom from late April to early May, and the Sainojinto Festival is held in early May, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and is crowded with many people.
