Matsuodera Temple, located on the hillside of Mt. Aoba, is the 29th temple of the Saikoku Reijo, and is based on the horse head Kannon. Along with its history, it is also famous for its beauty of the precincts, the large number of cultural properties it holds, and the temple where the rare religious event "Buddhist dance" has been held since the Edo period. The Buddhist dance is performed with the three statues of "Dainichi Nyorai," "Shaka Nyorai," and "Amitabha Nyorai." It will be dedicated on the 8th of each month.
